Born in Brooklyn, NY, N. Corren Conway has been capturing moods and moments since 1999. She earned both a British and US BFA in Visual Communication from the American InterContinental University in London. In 2000 Conway mastered the nuances of layout and design as Managing Editor of the e-zine Nativemagazine.com. Eager to tell her own stories, she has since crafted photographic essays in London, Amsterdam, and Hong Kong.
Her photographs and writings have been featured in Vibe, The Source, Frank 151, Mass Appeal, Trace, Emixshow, and the UKs Undercovermagazines. She has exhibited in London, England — AIU Graduate Show; Zurich, Switzerland — “To From Subject,” Group Show at the Shedhalle Art Space; Manila, Philippines – “Attach a File,” Group Show at the Syquia Gallery and New York City – “Positivity,” Group Show at the Danny Simmons Corridor Gallery.
She has most recently lent her talents as a Stills Photographer for Stacey Muhammad’s FOR COLORED BOYS Redemption Web Series, Assistant Camerawoman for #ATOM MONSANITY! (A Short Film) and is 1 of 100 photographers whose photography was selected for the upcoming book Mfon: Women Photographers of the African Diaspora. Prepare to be energized by her highly anticipated personal photo and video project, FRĀMD. Conway continues to document the live music scene, construct visual essays and incorporate filmmaking into her creative repertoire.
