Born in Brooklyn, NYC, N. Corren Conway aka niCo Robinson has been capturing moods and moments since 1999. She earned both a British and US BFA in Visual Communication from the American InterContinental University in London. In 2000 Robinson mastered the nuances of layout and design as Managing Editor of the e-zine Nativemagazine.com. Eager to tell her own stories, she has since crafted photographic essays in London, Amsterdam, and Hong Kong.
Her photographs and writings have been featured in Vibe, The Source, Frank 151, Mass Appeal, Trace, Emixshow, and the UKs Undercovermagazines. She has exhibited in London, England — AIU Graduate Show; Zurich, Switzerland — “To From Subject,” Group Show at the Shedhalle Art Space; Manila, Philippines – “Attach a File,” Group Show at the Syquia Gallery and New York City – “Positivity,” Group Show at the Danny Simmons Corridor Gallery.
She has lent her talents as a Stills Photographer for Stacey Muhammad’s FOR COLORED BOYS Redemption Web Series, Assistant Camerawoman for #ATOM MONSANITY! (A Short Film) and is 1 of 100 photographers whose photography was selected for the book Mfon: Women Photographers of the African Diaspora.
